Media Platforms Design TeamSPORT SEDANS WITH LAMBO POWEROkay, the new Audi S6 and S8 don’t quite have the full 500 hp of corporate cousin Lamborghini Gallardo—but they’re close. Under the hoods of Audi’s two largest and most powerful sedans is a version of Lamborghini’s V10. However, the displacements have been enlarged to 5.2 liters in both Audis to enhance torque. In the S6 the powerplant makes 420 hp, and in the S8 it makes 450 hp. That’s enough to move the S6 from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 sec. and the S8 to that speed in 5.1 sec. Combine this with Audi’s crisp styling and yummy interiors and you have two very sweet sport sedans coming to an Audi store near you soon.QUITE LITERALLY … A ROAD JETThe Audi Roadjet concept is one sport compact we’d like in our garage. Officials were mum about the production plans, but we could see this thing on a street near you very soon. It is smaller than even Audi’s little A3 wagon. And that’s neat because this little concept is powered by a 300-hp 3.2-liter FSi V6 paired to a seven-speed DSG transmission. Audi says 0 to 60 mph would come up in 6.3 sec. That sounds pretty conservative to us. We’d be happy to test it for you. So build it, boys.Ben StewartBen is a lifelong enthusiast of anything with wheels.
