Media Platforms Design TeamThe Leatherman took the idea of a multitool to its logical conclusion, jamming screwdrivers, knives, saws, can openers, pliers, and just about any other extension you could think of into a fold-up kit. Now, it wants to do the same thing, but on your wrist. The new Tread bracelet contains all the tools of your trusty Leatherman but in a compact design you wear on your wrist—the individual links turn into miniature tools. There’s a cutting hook, allen wrench, a screwdriver, a box wrench, and more. You can put them in any order you like. The tool, inspired by bracelets made from old bike chains, is meant to pass easily through airport security, which a regular Leatherman will not. There’s also the option to add a watch face and turn the Tread into a proper timekeeping device. If Leatherman somehow turns it into a smart watch, it may, in fact, be the only tool you’ll need.Media Platforms Design TeamMedia Platforms Design TeamMedia Platforms Design TeamMedia Platforms Design TeamView full post on YoutubeSource: Military.com, The VergeJohn WenzWriterJohn Wenz is a Popular Mechanics writer and space obsessive based in Philadelphia.
